Dr. Rae Cherng

Dr. Rae Cherng Joins Loma Vista Obstretics & Gynecology Medical Group

San Jose, CA- Loma Vista OB/GYN Medical Group announces the addition of Dr. Rae Cherng, OBGYN, to their medical staff. 

Dr. Cherng was raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan where she received her degree in Cellular Molecular Biology. She then attended Wayne State University where she obtained her M.D. degree. She stayed in Detroit to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. John Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Cherng was very active during college and medical school in community health affairs, founding the Young Asian Women’s Health organization to increase health awareness in the Asian community. She was also active in educating the adolescent population in Detroit on contraception, HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. She won several awards during her residency for her teaching activities. Dr. Cherng has special interests in contraception, infertility, and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Cherng has recently married and moved to the Bay Area. She looks forward to practicing in San Jose and pursuing her hobbies in cooking, dancing, reading, exercising, music, and yoga. She speaks Mandarin Chinese.
